The operational group of dentists and KU64-owner Dr. Stephan Ziegler was here from 4 dentists, three dental assistants and a prevention specialist and an assistant and photographer.

After her first use exactly two years before this is the next step towards sustainability of this important project. This year's record: 7 days, 100 children, 60 adults, 200 fillings, 120 extractions, sealants, and countless. The third use is already in January 2012.

In one small corner of South Africa's West Coast, early Khoi people called 'Strandloper' (beach walkers) lived simply and harmoniously – at one with the elements.

It was the tradition of shared storytelling among Khoi strandlopers that made memories with family and friends. Paternoster naturally inspires this. So when you’re done making your own memories and the oceanic orchestra lulls you to sleep, you might hear the strandlopers on the waves. ‘Another day well spent in paradise,’ they might be saying.

This picturesque fishing village, 15km north west of Vredenburg and 160 km southwest of Cape Town is one of the oldest coastal towns along the west coast and is famous for its lobsters. There are many white-painted fishermen's houses along a long white beach. The village retains some of the Atmosphere of a fishing village of a bygone era.

History of Paternoster


Fishermans Boat
This picturesque fishing town, 15km north-west of Vredenburg, is one of the oldest coastal towns along the West Coast and is famous for its crayfish. There are many white-washed fishermen's cottages dotted along a long white beach. In the town some of the atmosphere of a fishing community of a bygone era is preserved.

In spring many flower lovers stay here to visit the impressive Columbine nature Reserve just 3 km away. Tietiesbaai (made famous by Pieter Pieterse) forms part of the Columbine Nature Reserve and is frequented by campers and caravaners, especially in December.

Columbine Nature Reserve is about 16km from Vredenburg and 3km from Paternoster. The bay, which is part of the reserve, has many picnic spots and braai facilities. There are basic overnight facilities and ablution blocks.

Visit Cape Columbine, The last manned lighthouse built on the South African coast for more information about this fascinating light house and Paternoster.

The Lisboa wrecked on Soldiers Reef - Paternoster: On 23 October 1910, ran aground on the Lisboa Soldiers Reef near Paternoster. SIND DIE SÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜSS!

What a day! Got up early and at first made a joint strengthening us. The team set out shortly after 9 clock on the way to the school in which we in the next 7 days, about 250 students in Paternoster-school (more on Paternoster in the next post) behandeln werden.

Als Raum dient der Gemeinderaum neben der Schule, in dem normalerweise die Schulfeierlichkeiten stattfinden, aber auch der Schulchor probt. Als Materialienablager dient ein Billiard-Tisch und die Bühne ist die neue Praxis!

Die Kinder der 6. Klasse kommen sind als Erstes dran. Manche kennen wir auch vom letzten Mal, die meisten sind aber neu dabei, entweder weil sie scheu waren oder einfach Were afraid.
